National Peace Ambassador, Sheikh Awal Larry has advised Muslims not to allow themselves to be used for violence during the 2016 elections.
According to Sheikh Awal Larry, who is also an Executive Member of the National Youth Leadership Forum, Muslim youths should ensure peace and be peaceful in themselves as the nation gears up for the 2016 general elections.
Sheikh Awal Larry noted that Islam is a peaceful religion and so abhors any act of violence.
In his address to youth leaders at a National Youth Leadership forum held in Cape Coast, Sheikh Awal was critical about the exploitation of Muslims, especially those residing in Zongos, to do the bidding of politicians in elections.
He warned them to be careful and not allow politicians to ride on them to gain political power before, during and after the November polls.
