2024 Elections: Don’t Go And Fight; Politicians Are All Either Friends or Relatives - Dr. Serebour Quaicoe Advises Ghanaians

Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, the Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), has urged Ghanaian electorates to desist from violence during the December 7 polls.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe disclosed the cordial relationship existing between politicians in the country stating how they, after IPAC meeting, would exchange friendly pleasantries.

He noted that the politicians paint a picture like they are enemies but in actual fact, they are all either friends or relatives.

He cited the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Fiifi Kwetey being his (Serebour Quaicoe) junior mate at the University of Ghana and how cool they are when they meet.

He also revealed that NDC’s former Communications Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Bossman Asare, were classmates at the University of Ghana.

Giving these examples, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe advised the populace not to blindly follow politicians to engage in violence or lose their lives.

He charged the electorates to peacefully cast their votes in the general elections, stressing “you have only one vote. Go age give your vote to the person. Don’t go and fight because of election”.

He said this in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show.
