'Murder Victim' Found Alive By Police After Five years

A man who vanished without a trace five years ago and was feared to have been murdered has miraculously been found alive and well living alone in a woodland.

Farm worker Ricardas Puisys, then 35, was last seen alive at work in September 2015 and a murder investigation was launched two months later after he had been missing for several weeks.

Just weeks before he disappeared, concerns for his safety were raised when it was suggested to Cambridgeshire police that he was being exploited.

But searches and multiple appeals failed to locate Ricardas, originally from Lithuania, and the trail went cold until a tip-off in June led police to a woodland in Wisbech, where they found him on July 1 this year, detectives announced on Monday.
