NUGS Commends Majority Chief Whip For Support To Education

The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has commended the Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh for his immense support to students and promotion of education in his Constituency.

According to NUGS, the Majority Chief Whip has been organizing classes for BECE candidates, facilitating access to scholarship both local and foreign to students and recently distributed about 200 Scientific calculators to students as well as helping to build a school library in the Constituency.

NUGS also appealed to Members of Parliament, institutions and benevolent individuals for support for the renovation of its Secretariat in Accra to enable it discharge its duties more effectively.

The President of NUGS, Mr Yiadom Boakye made the appeal when he led a delegation of NUGS Executive Members to honour the Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh at his office at Parliament House for his hard work and support to students in his Constituency.

The delegation also presented a portrait of the Member of Parliament to him.

Mr Yiadom Boakye said as a Union which advocates the wellbeing of students in the country, NUGS will also honour other members of Parliament who perform exceptionally well in the area of promoting education in their Constituencies.

Hon Frank Annoh-Dompreh expressed gratitude to NUGS for the honour done him and promised to support NUGS to renovate its Secretariat. Frank Annoh-Dompreh also promised to visit the NUGS Secretariat soon to observe the condition of the place.
