The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised fears that the decision by the Electoral Commission to compile a new voters' register using passports and the Ghana card as proof of eligibility may disenfranchise over 10 million Ghanaians who were unable to retrieve their Ghana cards from the National Identification Authority (NIA).

However, Kweku Baako wonders if those figures can be proven scientifically.

"EC conspiring to exclude 10 million Ghanaians; where are the figures coming from; this is a voodoo figure; where is it coming from? There must be some scientific basis for that; you just don’t dream figures, put them out there and everybody is running at it. I don’t understand," he said while contributing to a panel discussion on 'Kokrokoo', Peace FM’s flagship programme.
