The National Democratic Congress (NDC) deputy Director of Special Duties is very optimistic his party will cause upset in NPP's second stronghold, the Eastern region by gaining more votes in this year's election. 

Brogya Genfi said strategies adopted by the NDC will shock the New Patriotic Party in their backyard.

He told NEAT FM's morning show, 'Ghana Montie' that NPP members in the Eastern region are ready to help elect John Dramani Mahama as President.

"This year's NDC campaign is strategic and we are targeting NPP's strongholds. We have spent days in the Eastern region and the reception is amazing. The people are fed up with them," he said.

“They have promised to vote for us [NDC],” he said.
