Asamoah Gyan Yet To Speak To Otto Addo Over His Desire To Play At The World Cup In Qatar

Legendary Ghanaian forward, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that he is yet to speak to coach Otto Addo about his desire to play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Asamoah Gyan has disclosed his intentions of representing Ghana at another World Cup and has been undergoing personal training to return to fitness.

According to the ex-Ghana captain, he might be a surprise inclusion to the team for Qatar 2022.

"Honestly, I haven't spoken to anybody at all. It's part of the plan. I just want to make sure and see how my body reacts first," Asamoah Gyan told the BBC.

"Me and my manager, we've been talking behind the scenes, you know and everything so we just have to make sure, we know what we are doing. Everything is in progress, and everything looks positive. We'll see what happens. There might be a surprise," he added.

Gyan has been inactive since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of the 2020/21 season.
